Per Carlsson joins our Executive Management Board as Chief Development Officer for Vow. With his strong technical and commercial perspective, he will be in charge of coordinating, overseeing and approving all R&D activities in Vow. Meet Per Carlsson.

SHORT TIME IN VOW, BUT LONG HISTORY WITH MY COLLEAGUES

I came to Norway from Sweden in 2014, with background as a research scientist within combustion gasification and pyrolysis. In Norway, I joined SINTEF, fast as researcher and later as research manager and Senior Business Developer. My first contact with Scanship was already back in 2015, then Asgeir Wien demonstrated the MAP system. Fast forward six years, and I joined Vow.

15 YEARS´ EXPERIENCE WITH THERMAL CONVERSION

My experience and expertise lie within thermal conversion of solid fuels. Since 2007 I have been working with waste and other solids to something valuable, both as topic for my PhD thesis and in the scientific roles I have had since. Biocarbon is what I have worked with the most, especially from the metallurgical industry side. Identifying the industry’s needs and finding the optimal ways of production. In other words, I have 15 years’ experience with Vow’s core business.

I OVERSEE, COORDINATE AND APPROVE ALL R&D ACTIVITIES IN VOW

From March 2023, I was appointed Chief Development Officer in Vow. In my new role, it is my responsibility to oversee, coordinate and approve all R&D activities in Vow. My main focus will be to build tight and functional teams, and that we get the best out of our people in France, Fredrikstad and Asker. We must continue to share experience, continue to develop our competence and share resources across teams to do things even smarter going forward.

CONTINUE TO DEVELOP VOW, TOGETHER WITH OUR CUSTOMERS

During my career I have never experienced a company filled with so much competence, commitment and drive as I see in Vow. We are driven by the desire to continue to develop our offering, adjust to changed needs in the markets we already are and markets we want to enter. It is all about tailoring our services together with our customers, understand their needs and adjust accordingly. We are providing the technology that enables the industries to become greener and reach their goals of zero emissions. We are working close together with Vow Green Metals and other potential business partners; we are developing the technology and they produce the product, the biochar, biocarbon heat and power.
