Group Finance Controller

Grethe Madeleine Børke began her career in auditing, where she built a strong foundation in financial analysis, reporting, and business understanding. After completing her studies in economics, she spent several years working in a large audit firm, gaining insight into how companies operate across different industries.

Over time, Grethe Madeleine became curious about experiencing the business side from within. She wanted to move from reviewing companies to helping shape one from the inside. That ambition eventually led her to Vow.

Today, Grethe Madeleine works as Group Finance Controller, contributing to the group’s financial reporting and consolidation, including the quarterly and annual reports in addition to financial planning and analysis.

Finance at the heart of the business

In group finance, the pace often follows the rhythm of reporting deadlines. In the weeks leading to the recently published Q4 report, preparing and finalizing the numbers was naturally the top priority. With the Q4 reporting completed, the work now centers on preparing the annual report for 2025.

Alongside the reporting work, the role requires close collaboration across the organization and a significant amount of ad hoc work. Supporting colleagues across teams and ensuring that financial information is aligned across the group is an important part of Grethe Madeleine`s day-to-day work.

Building a strong foundation

Grethe Madeleine describes her first year at Vow as both exciting and demanding. The group has spent much of the past year strengthening structures and building a solid foundation for the future.

From January 1, 2026, Vow introduced three Business Units with dedicated management teams and full profit-and-loss responsibility. Grethe Madeleine is part of the management team for the Aftersales business unit, a role she looks forward to developing further as the business continues to grow.

Driven by purpose

Outside of work, Grethe Madeleine enjoys traveling and spending time with her boyfriend, their dog, and her stepdaughter. She has also developed a passion for running and often combines it with travel by participating in races in different parts of the world. Her next challenge is a half marathon in Berlin this March.
