Got a feel for current? Join us as Project Lead Engineer (Electrical and Automation)

Make the electrons work. Make the process run.

At Vow, we’re developing one of the most promising technologies in maritime decarbonisation — electrically assisted pyrolysis (EAP). But advanced technology only becomes reality when someone makes the power flow, the control logic hold, and the automation architecture deliver. That someone is you.

We’re looking for a Project Lead Engineer with an electrical and automation profile who takes ownership — someone who understands that great engineering isn’t just getting the design right on paper, it’s making sure it runs onboard a real vessel, in real conditions, long after handover.

What you will do, own and deliver

  • Lead and contribute to the electrical and automation scope within projects, upstream & downstream products and R&D activities.
  • Design and develop control systems, automation logic and electrical architecture.
  • Produce, maintain and develop electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and automation documentation.
  • Define and verify instrumentation, sensors and control equipment from specification to FAT.
  • Provide electrical and automation input during the sales phase, including technical assessments and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with process and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated and consistent system design.
  • Participate in qualifying new technology, equipment and suppliers within electrical and automation.
  • Ensure documentation packages are complete and fit for handover to the commissioning team.

What you bring

  • Engineering degree in electrical, automation, cybernetics or a related discipline.
  • Experience with electrical and automation engineering in maritime, offshore, energy or process industries.
  • Solid understanding of control systems, instrumentation and power distribution.
  • Ability to read and produce electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and I/O documentation.
  • Comfortable working across disciplines and interfacing with process and mechanical engineers.
  • Strong communicator in English; Norwegian is an advantage.
  • A genuine interest in clean technology and sustainable maritime solutions.

Your profile

  • You take technical ownership and see things through from design to commissioning.
  • Methodical and precise, but able to move when the project demands it.
  • Curious about new technology and motivated by solving problems that actually matter.
  • Comfortable being the go-to person across disciplines and towards clients and suppliers.

What we offer

  • A central role in technically complex and meaningful projects.
  • A chance to work with cutting-edge green tech in a growing industry.
  • A supportive, skilled team that values precision as much as you do.

Primary work location is Tønsberg.
